portraits & characters

Portraits have slowly become a love of mine, despite my objections in earlier life that "I couldn't draw people". It is one element of my work that has taken me the most time and effort to build my skills upon but gives me the most satisfaction as I see where all of my practise has led me. I see elements of myself in all of my portraiture, reflecting my mood, desires and has even led me to accept parts of myself by including them in my characters (my nose for example).
